Services
The aim of physiotherapy is to restore proper functioning to the body by reducing pain and regaining movement. To achieve this an understanding of the condition or injury is needed before appropriate treatment can be administered.
Using her many years of experience, Nicola will provide a thorough assessment, including history, medical background and physical examination to provide a diagnosis. Treatment options will be discussed to ensure patients are at the centre of their care and their goals are considered. If necessary, recommendations may include further investigations or referral to other specialties.
Orthopaedic knowledge is combined with a physiotherapy background to offer a complete approach to managing your condition. This includes the option of steroid injections that Nicola can provide herself due to post-graduate training and non-medical prescribing qualifications.

She is passionate about improving patient's lives and recognises the impact of pain on both physical and mental wellbeing. Thanks so much.
The reality is that if you don’t treat the underlying condition which is instability and work to strengthen and align the body no drugs or surgery will help in the long term.
Nicola is an extended scope physiotherapist who works with surgeons with a special interest in lower back conditions. It means she has had specialist training to be able to assess the MSK system at an advanced level to be able to determine the correct rehabilitation for you.
At the first session I was really re-assured by her knowledge and initial assessment we decided to continue with weekly sessions where she gave me body & condition specific exercises and massage / stretch therapy to the appropriate muscle groups.
I did notice that the number of spasms and pain had reduced significantly. This is over a period of 6 weeks of seeing her. After she felt I could go at it alone we reduced to fortnightly sessions and never did I feel she was wanting to continue the sessions without necessity. For me I decided that I needed to continue fortnightly then reduce to a rolling monthly visit until I’m happy to be discharged.
The pain has reduced from a 7/8 to a 2/3 I’ve not had any anti inflammatory medication for nearly 2 months.
The suggested exercises are absolutely responsible for the reduction in pain and increased mobility. If i got a bit over confident & didn’t do my exercises the pain and instability would return this confirmed beyond a reasonable doubt that the exercises are vital for continued stability and effort on my part is needed. The magic is in her ability to assess and treat you the rest is up to you to put the effort in and keep at it
I decided to wait for months before leaving a review to make sure it really has been working. It is without any hesitation that I would recommend Nicola for specialist Physio therapy. I feel completely comfortable in her practice get treated with dignity and reassured that I’m being looked after by a highly skilled & competent Physio.
Literally life changing!
If you suffer with any injuries or ailments requiring a Physio with world class assessment skill and therapy go see her! Thanks Nicola
Nicola has been treating me for back and knee pain creating a professional yet friendly atmosphere. We regularly review my goals to make sure I am on the right track - Can highly recommend.
